Vasant Vinayak Tamhane was a professional model maker. Some of the prominent building projects that he made scale models of include the Bhilai Steel Plant, the Bokaro Steel Plant, the Telco Foundry and the Military Hospital in Pune's Range Hills. The collection contains hard bound photo albums with photographs of various models made by V. V. Tamhane and his son A.V. Tamhane throughout their career.
