One of the leading architectural firms in Pune, Architects United was founded by Abhay Sharma (1939-2004) and Vijay Ghotge (1939-2003) in 1961. When their children joined the firm in the 1980s, they established Creative Group Pvt. Ltd. an affiliated company specialised in interior designing. The collection contains records of building projects ranging from bungalows and residential complexes to public and commercial institutions. Some of their prominent projects include Kirloskar Copeland Limited, BAIF House, Indian Institute of Education (IIE), KEM Hospital, and Sahawas Co-operative Housing Society. The Architects United Collection contains building projects, books, photographs and photo albums covering the period from 1960s to 2000. The majority of objects are architectural drawings in pencil or ink on A0 tracing paper. The collection also contains books from the office library: conference proceedings, PWD handbooks, Schedules of rates and so on.
